Report on the timetable for consideration of the Active Travel
(Wales) Bill
1. On 18 February 2013, a Government Bill, ‘Active Travel (Wales) Bill’, was introduced in the Assembly.
2. On 5 February 2013, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.9, to refer the Bill to the Enterprise and Business Committee, to consider and report on the general principles.
3. In accordance with Standing Order 26.7, the Business Committee established a timetable for the Committee’s consideration of the general principles of the Bill and has agreed that the Committee should report to the Assembly by 24 May 2013.
4. The
Business Committee also agreed that Stage 2 proceedings should be
completed by 19 July 2013, subject to the general principles of the
Bill being agreed by the Assembly.
